Pizza Aroma: Super Fresh Toppings

Overall rating: 8 Pizzas out of 10

The Pick-up: We called ahead so our order would be ready.
Order Placed: 5:28 pm
Promised: 35 minutes
Pizza Ready: 5:50 pm
Actual Preparation Time: 22 minutes
Time Warning: Aroma appears to have a time estimation problem in terms of pizza production so we recommend arriving a healthy 10 minutes before the promised time. While I was happy that my pizza was ready 13 minutes earlier than promised, I doubt I would have enjoyed my pie as much if it had sat in a box, albeit a box on a hot oven, for 13 minutes.

The Pizza: 8 Pizzas out of 10
Pizza Style: Gourmet NY Style Thin Crust
Amazing veggie pizza - average cheese pizza. We ordered two pizzas during our review and they could not have been more different. The first, a cheese pizza, was merely average in taste as the cheese lacked any nuance or flair to it. With the veggie pizza, it was like we ordered from a different restaurant -- the spinach and mushrooms were fresh and the same cheese on the plain cheese was now the perfect mate to the fresh and plentiful veggies. We asked a young woman behind the counter about the toppings and she said, "Frozen? No, all fresh. We want it to be nice for you." I believe her and I believe it tasted great. So load up on the toppings when you order as they ARE fresh. And just pass on the cheese pie.
Bonus: The pies are really quite generous as they are surprisingly heavy, so there is a lot of toppings and pizza in each pie.
Salt Level – average to low salt level - a good thing. And a likely culprit why the cheese pie was so flat on flavor.
The crust is chewy with lots of texture, but light on flavor - perhaps because there was so much corn meal on the bottom (corn meal adds texture but also aids in cooking by stopping the pizza from sticking.)
The sauce is bouncy and lively but there was a bit too much of it on our pies so at times it was overbearing for our tastes.
Money Saving Hint: They have a quirky menu, but if you study it a bit and order something by their nomenclature you will get a better price deal then if you randomly create a similar pie on your own.
