Pudgies Pizza: Fast, Efficient Chain Pizza

The Delivery: Pudgies does not deliver to where we live in the Town of Ithaca (they do deliver in the City of Ithaca.)
The Pick-up: We called ahead so our order would be ready.

Promised: 20 minutes
Pizza Ready: 5:27 pm
Actual Preparation Time: 20 minutes It took us 20 minutes to get there and the pizza was ready when we arrived.
Bonus:Pudgies is efficient and fast - they had 8 people working on the Friday night we went and appear to be a well-oiled pizza making machine.

Pizza Style: Americana
Pudgies serves up plenty of cheese and they are the best of the Chain pizza's we have tried to date. The cheese can be a bit a greasy at times and while it is plentiful, it could be more evenly spread out as some slices had major bald spots (note photos above).
The crust is is light, fluffy and airy, allowing one to eat a many slices but the crust, like the cheese is variable, and some slices the dough is packed down by lots of cheese (not a bad thing if you like cheese.) One note, the dough is sweet tasting.
The sauce is plentiful and sweet tasting as well. The effect of a sweet sauce and a sweet dough made for a sweet tasting pizza, too sweet for our taste.
Not too Salty, which is a pleasant surprise.

Bonus: Pudgies has great coupons in the Ithaca phone book with our order of one large pizza we got a 2nd large cheese pizza for $5 more. Pudgies pizza's are 17", a bit larger than your standard 15" or 16" pie, so our group of 3 could only eat 1 pizza. They are a good value.
